John Vivadelli

John Vivadelli serves as an Advisor of Washington, DC-based Connected Ventures. In this role, Mr. Vivadeli provides strategic guidance and executive oversight to Connected Ventures business investments or operations in the commercial real estate markets.

Mr. Vivadelli is a recognized expert in the fields of workplace strategy, real estate measurement and management. He founded AgilQuest Corporation in 1994 and under his leadership the company has built an international reputation for workplace management innovation. He was awarded a US Patent for certain aspects of the company’s platforms which share and monetize excess office real estate. Mr. Vivadelli coined and developed the discipline of “Smart Occupancy,” which creates more choice, freedom and engagement for the workforce and increased agility, sustainability and profitability for the asset owner. He was a finalist in Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

He’s incubated two new initiatives, AgilQuest.com™ and AgilSpace™. AgilQuest.com is an innovative multisided, cloud-based, multi-tenant platform. It will give any real estate asset owner (lessor or landlord) the ability to manage and measure the actual use of their portfolio and create a marketplace for its excess capacity and provides people the ability to find, use and enjoy places “Whenever, Wherever You Want to Work. AgilSpace is a new brand kind of space: Just as people merge work and life, AgilSpace easily converts to support both work and life events.

Mr. Vivadelli’s service leadership positions included: Virginia’s Joint Council on Technology and Science (JCOTS), Chairman, Strategy and Planning Metrics Workgroup of the Open Standards Consortium for Real Estate (OSCRE); Board of Directors for ITAC (International Telework Advisory and Council); Board of Directors, CoreNet Global’s Mid-Atlantic Chapter, Board of Directors, Virginia Council of CEO’s, and other organizations.

Prior to founding AgilQuest, Mr. Vivadelli led the development of the technology integral to IBM’s Mobility Project which transformed IBM’s workplace. IBM credits these initiatives with producing billions of dollars of infrastructure savings. He was recognized as IBM’s top salesman with the IBM 100% Club President Award. Prior to IBM, he was a Commander in the US Navy and served as a Nuclear Engineering Officer on the attack submarine USS Silversides, SSN-679.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado. He completed Post-Graduate studies in Nuclear Engineering at the U.S. Navy Nuclear Power School and Nuclear Reactor Operations Training at NPTU Ballston Spa, Lehigh University’s Advanced Manufacturing Institute and Harvard University’s Financial Management for Executives.
